Florida Wildlife Rehabilitators Association Annual Symposium Scholarship Application
September 30 – October 2, 2021, at the Grand Orlando Resort, Celebration, Florida

Scholarship applicants are required to be a member in good standing of FWRA and actively working or volunteering in the field of wildlife rehabilitation.  Scholarships do not include travel expenses or Wednesday night lodging.

We will be awarding scholarships in memory of Dr. Herbert W. Kale and Karl Sendler, and FWRA’s Founder’s Scholarship. We will also be awarding up to 3 full FWRA Education Fund Scholarships. Our Founder's Scholarship this year is in memory of our former Vice-President Dan Martinelli, Director of Treasure Coast Wildlife Hospital who we lost just after the 2019 symposium. One of our education scholarships will be awarded in memory of Hector Cruz-Lopez, PhD who was with Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Division and a great teacher at several FWRA symposiums.

Please fill out application on line, it will be transmitted to us and there is no need to mail a copy.  When your application is complete, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your application. If you do not have a wildlife rehabilitation permit, we need confirmation of application information from your permitted rehabilitator. Your rehabilitator can do this on line from our web site, send an email to treasurer@fwra.org, or mail a note to FWRA, PO Box 411087, Melbourne, FL 32941. Additional information may be requested if needed.  Applications that are incomplete, late, or from individuals with expired memberships will not be considered.  Application deadline is July 14, 2021.  Scholarships are not assignable, so if you are awarded and unable to attend, please contact FWRA immediately.
