FWRA is moving our 2025 symposium to a new venue – Hilton Altamonte Springs. It’s conveniently located at 350 Northlake Blvd, just east of I-4 and south of 436. We will be providing continuing education now required by FWC to keep your permit up to date. There will be additional information on the website, Facebook and in our newsletter when we are closer to the event that will be held February 5 – 8, 2025. Watch for updates on scholarship applications, speakers, classes and registration. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
May Update: We have Dr. Erica Miller, Lisa Fosco, CVT and Dr. Maria Passerelli scheduled to return as speakers. We’d also like to welcome Veronica Bowers of Native Songbird Care and Conservation. We’re scheduling several mammal classes, reptile rehabilitation and shell repair, and fracture stabilization. Our schedule is still “under construction” and potential classes include Treating for Toxins, Compassion Fatigue, Growing Food for Your Wildlife, and Seabirds & Shorebirds.
July update: Here’s another preview of classes scheduled for the 2025 symposium. Please remember that classes are subject to change due to speaker availability and other circumstances beyond our control. We hope you are making plans to join us. More information to come so keep checking for updates!
