Florida Wildlife Rehabilitators Association Annual Symposium Scholarship Application

Scholarship applicants are required to be a member in good standing of FWRA and actively working or volunteering in the field of wildlife rehabilitation.   Scholarships do not include travel expenses or Wednesday night lodging.

We will be awarding scholarships in memory of Dr. Herbert W. Kale and Karl Sendler. This year FWRA’s Founder’s Scholarship is in honor of Dr. Erica Miller. We will also be awarding up to 3 full FWRA Education Fund Scholarships.

Scholarship selections are partially based on financial need.  How have you attempted to obtain funding?

Please fill out application on line, it will be transmitted to us and there is no need to mail a copy.  When your application is complete, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your application. If you are a volunteer, please submit a letter from your permitted rehabilitator confirming application information. Letters can be emailed to treasurer@fwra.org or mailed to FWRA PO Box 411087, Melbourne, FL 32941.   Additional information may be requested if needed.  Applications that are incomplete, late, or from individuals with expired memberships will not be considered.  Application deadline is July 1, 2018.  Scholarships are not assignable, so if you are awarded and unable to attend, please contact FWRA immediately.
